Amanda’s the type of person who’s always willing to help, to dive in and learn new things, and be a cheerleader for others’ efforts and successes. She’s also passionate about improving the patient experience, with a specialty focus in women’s imaging. She’s also not one to brag, so we’re excited to spotlight a colleague we’re grateful to have on our team.

I have been in the healthcare sector since the start of my career in 1999. I began in pharmaceutical marketing research and moved on to continuing medical education program management. I got my start in patient experience at Philips Healthcare in 2007. In 2014, I took on the customer visit center program for North America, and in 2017 I went back out to the field in patient monitoring sales. In 2019, I returned to my patient experience roots with PDC Facilities.

After 12 rewarding years in the corporate world, I was ready to return to a small business setting. One of the things I loved about my colleagues at Philips and now at PDC, is everyone’s willingness to support each other both inside and outside of the office. I have been fortunate to work with some of the finest people a person could ever know.
Witnessing the soothing effect of positive distraction on very anxious patients is incredibly rewarding. When we make that happen, and we do it well, our customers are able to help their patients achieve improved outcomes. That is our goal.
I like being part of a small team doing big things!
Overcoming obstacles and being able to figure out how to do things I didn’t think I could do.
Patient experience and patient outcomes have become a priority for healthcare leaders in new and exciting ways. It is not just about throughput and revenue; it’s about creating solutions that help providers facilitate a highly fulfilling journey for their patients. The result is both increased patient satisfaction AND job satisfaction.
There is a lot of heart and soul in the work we do, and we have some of the best people in the industry at PDC.
Hearing someone say, “I really like working with you.” Camaraderie is paramount. When we trust the people we work with and genuinely enjoy the work we do, we can achieve great things.
I like a combination of well-designed lighting and audio/visual technology, paired with organization and tidiness. A space designed around the patient, that also enables efficient workflow for the provider, makes me feel like I am receiving the highest quality of care.
I volunteer for End 68 Hours of Hunger, the Salvation Army and through my local Elks Lodge.
Burger King. In tenth grade I wanted a class ring, and my parents told me I had to pay for it myself, so I got my working papers and saved my money. I still have it.
Running a farm for rescue animals.
In college on spring break, a lady and her friends at the cruise terminal were convinced I was Alicia Silverstone and didn’t believe me when I said I wasn’t.
5 Thai in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. I never say no to Thai food.
Home improvement projects and being able to fix things myself
I appreciate gardens, but I am not a fan of gardening.
I like historical dramas, and I love British cooking shows.
I still miss my Blackberry
I love to read, and I am teaching myself to crochet. My grandmother always had a project going, and now I understand why – it’s productive and mind clearing!
An international airline steward. I wanted to speak different languages and see the world!
